Fresh Buttermilk Dressing
This easy salad dressing will remind you of ranch dressing, only lighter and with a freshness bottled ranch can’t touch. We like it on salads, of course, but also on sandwiches. (Turkey BLT with buttermilk dressing on toasted sourdough? Yes, please!) For some reason it’s better on homemade oven fries than ketchup. It’s a must for zucchini fries or roasted green beans. And it’s awesome on fried green tomatoes and baked potatoes.
If you need a thicker dip for, say, a crudité platter, simply increase the ratio of sour cream to buttermilk and adjust the seasonings to taste. Fresh Buttermilk Dressing is also the base for TexMex Ranch Dressing.
Enjoy!
